Does JMH provide contingent recruitment searches?

On occasion, JMH will work with their clients on a contingent basis if all of the criteria fall into place.

My recruiter is going out on leave. Can JMH come in and fill in during that time?

Most definitely. JMH has experience consulting onsite for clients on both a long and short term basis. We have experience recruiting in both the Allied Health and the Nursing Sectors.

I need some recruiting assistance because I am increasing the beds in our ICU. Can JMH help?

JMH has experience providing specialty specific recruitment. Through database mining, job board searching, call saturation, and email blasts to societies such as the AACN, JMH has been successful creating solid candidate pipelines.

We are opening a new facility and need assistance with these openings as well as backfilling positions in our other facilities. What can JMH do to assist with this?

In the past 5 years, JMH has assisted with the opening of four new facilities. It is an incredible feat and just as rewarding. JMH can dedicate a team of recruiters working virtually or onsite who will source, screen, and schedule candidates for interviews. Onsite, JMH Consultants have experience with the full cycle and simply act as an extension of your recruitment team.

We are not an acute care facility, but I have healthcare recruitment needs. Can JMH assist us?

Absolutely. JMH has experience placing Long Term Care Directors, Staff Development Coordinators, Long Term Care RN’s, Case, Care, and Disease Managers, Healthcares Sales Representatives, and even Pharmaceutical Representatives that require a nursing background.

If I only need assistance for one week or a small project, is this something JMH will consider? What if I just need a part-time consultant 20 hours per week?

Our minimum hours for engagement are 40.

What is the process to get started?

First, we discuss your recruitment needs, what you have tried in the past, and what solutions you have in mind. JMH will create a proposal around that as well as their own recruitment solutions suggestion. If both parties agree that this partnership is beneficial, an associate from JMH will visit your site to meet with your recruiting team, hiring managers, and to get a solid feel for your culture, geographical area. During this time, a process will be put in place to implement the project.

Are your services affordable? What are the costs involved?

Unlike most other recruitment firms, JMH provides services at very reasonable prices. We shy away from contingent searches in most cases, because we don’t feel they are fiscally responsible. Whether your project is large or small, our fees are the same. We charge $65.00 per hour per recruiter dedicated to your project. We never have one recruiter dedicated to more than one project. Our recruiters become experts on your facility. On average, a full-time recruiter will cost a facility just under $11,000 per month. Our recruiters have been successful in placing a minimum of four staff nurses a month and have reached as many as 8 staff nurse hires in a month. If these hires were reached on a contingent agreement, the cost could be anywhere from $36,000 and up.

Four hires does not seem like a lot of hires? Why so few?

JMH generally works in teams with a client. On one of our projects in 2008, the team of 3 full-time recruiters averaged 15-20 hires per month. We made an incredible impact at this facility. Many recruitment firms will promise the world and many will deliver nothing. We want to provide you with realistic expectations. Our philosophy is not to present a candidate that we would not want taking care of us or our family members. If the nurse does not meet our criteria, our clients do not waste their time weeding them out.

What is your criteria for staff nurses? What do you think makes a good rn?

We believe that first and foremost a nurse must have a strong healing presence. Whether they have been nursing for 2 or 20 years, they need to tell us why they became a nurse and how they feel about nursing now. They need to have clean licenses. They need to provide us with evidence that they are strong team players, that they have strong attention to detail, and that they have a sincere interest in your facility.

I think my nurse recruiter is fabulous. I want to take away the new graduate positions and the CNA and Support Roles. Can JMH manage that?

Absolutely. We have solid experience screening new graduates. We know how time consuming they can be. An experiences RN may place one call to a nurse recruiter to inquire about a position. A new graduate RN may place three calls and an email to follow up and make sure the calls and the applications were received. We understand the handholding the new graduates need and we provide that. All new graduate inquiries are directed to us. We communicate with each applicant on a regular basis, even if there are 500 applicants, to make sure that your recruitment department is viewed as one who truly cares about all of their applicants. We communicate via email at each stage of the recruiting process so each candidate knows if they have been eliminated or that they are moving forward. If a candidate interviews and is not selected, we notify them by telephone. We have a very stringent phone screening process. We schedule the interviews and make the offers. Remember, you may have only 10 new graduate spots available, but the other 490 applicants may be interested in you in 2 years. You want to make a good impression.

What is the time frame between initial discussion and project launch?

It can take anywhere from two weeks to two months to launch a project. It depends on the size of the project. JMH will never begin a project if everything is not in place.

Can you send me material in the mail?

No. All of our information is available on our website. We want to be nice to the trees.
